General Description

The SFP28 active optical cable is a direct attach fiber assembly with SFP28 connectors, designed for short distance high speed interconnects. It provides a cost effective solution for connections within racks and across adjacent racks.

This single channel, pluggable fiber optic module is used for 25 Gigabit Ethernet and InfiniBand EDR applications. It is a high performance solution for short range data communication and interconnect applications, operating at 25.78125 Gbps with reach up to 70 m over OM3 fiber or 100 m over OM4 fiber.

The module is designed for multimode fiber systems using a nominal wavelength of 850 nm and utilizes a 20 contact edge type electrical connector.
