General Description

The SFP28 active optical cable is a direct attach fiber assembly with SFP28 connectors, designed for short distance, high speed interconnects. It offers a cost effective solution for connections within racks and across adjacent racks.

This single channel, pluggable fiber optic module is used for 25 Gigabit Ethernet and InfiniBand EDR applications. It operates at 25.78125 Gbps with transmission distances of up to 70 m over OM3 fiber or 100 m over OM4 fiber.

The module is designed for multimode fiber systems using a nominal wavelength of 850 nm and features a 20 contact edge type electrical interface.
